Ahahahahahaaa... it's just occurring to me that this Friday, when I spin next, is old school night at Plague. So now I'm pawing through my music collection looking for anything that might be considered "old school."

Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five... that's old school... right?! >;)

I have 70+ remixes of various Depeche Mode songs.

Old School yes, but definately not goth.
Depeche Mode, Sisters of Mercy, Soiuxsie would all be good.
Sorry I can't help you out too much on other good ones even though _I_ am "old school" (graduated HS in '86), I've always been on the fringes of the Goth, punk and metal communities(and partly in the hippie community which gave me a good excuse to grow my hair long) and never felt comfortable enough in my own skin to make much of a conection with folks in those comunities.

Iono what's actually considered old school GOTH... Ministry n RevCo are INDUSTRIAL, not goth... but if Goths like it, yea, throw out Beers Steers n Queers - just cos it's COOL as fuck! Or Big Sexyland, their first... Nitzer Ebb maybe?
