klemrev and I had a blast. FINALLY, I got to experience a little bit of Black Sun. Though next time, I want to get a hotel room in the heart of the action, and spend the entire weekend. Not to mention, getting REALLY dressed up!

My co-worker is actually taking the week AFTER Black Sun off!!
This means I can take the week leading up to Black Sun!!
I will still have to miss the end, but it's better than missing the first night!

Convergence: NO
At first, I didn't think I had a chance in hell of making it out to Convergence. Then a kind gent graciously offered me a place to crash with him and his family, so I would only have to worry about getting out to the OTHER Portland. Then I realized that I probably didn't have the cash to afford the plane ticket. BUT THEN I thought, with my coming tax return I might be able to pull it off. But now I get a memo at work today saying that no vacation time will be honored in the month of May, because the new hospital wide information system goes live, and they can't afford to be understaffed.
DAMN IT!!!
Black Sun: YES
However, with the Convergence plan essentially foiled, I can perhaps concentrate my resources on getting down to check out The Black Sun Festival this year. Certain Plague peeps have already threatened me with death if I do not make it there this year. I can save up my vacation time, and take a leisurely ride down to the festival.
