06:52 pm - DYSTOPIA!!

The above is a comic a did for some freaky weirdos who are starting a monthly "alterna-dance" night at Geno's here in Po'tlan'. The night is called DYSTOPIA and it has promised to help you get your "rawk on" and to cure your syphilis.

Or maybe, it will get your "rocks off" and give you syphilis.
I'm not really sure about the details.

01:11 pm - YARRR!!!

After a truly horrific evening (gastro-intestinely speaking) I am feeling much better this morning! [info]klemrev, I, and quite possibly her parents are heading out to the beach.

I was going to go out tonight to explore various things, but since I didn't feel well enough to get some things done last night, I'm going to have to stay in a get stuff done. Unfortunately, it ain't all stuff I can just blow off. Some of it is actually paid design stuff on a bit of a deadline. O.o

Apparantly, Plague was kickin' last night, and we just got a confirmed night at a new venue for Flatline: HALLOWEEN! :)

I feel bad because there were some gothfolk relatively new to Maine that were going out to Plague last night. I really wanted to meet them (as one is a prospective DJ). But, I figured being a good representative of Maine Goths did not involve vomiting all over their stompy boots. :x

There's other exciting Gothy Goodness coming down the pike, but I'm not sure what is and what is not up for discussion. So until I consult the respective creators/promoters, that is all I will say about that for now. ;)

Remember!!! I spin next week at Plague (09/14), 9-10p!!! And I do believe the "free before 9:30" that was instituted last night will continue into the future. So relatively poor people and be there early (and hear me spin, dammit!!)

10:02 pm - JPOP Night at PLAGUE!!!

I'm very much looking forward to the event! I ordered a black Qipao, but am not sure if it will arrive in time.

I kinda had it in my head that I might try and go as my favorite anime character Shampoo from Ranma 1/2 (one of the few anime series that I enjoy -- perhaps not surprisingly, given its subject matter). ;)

However, the blue hair would be a problem. I could get a blue wig... but I don't like wearing wigs, and I have a big head so I dare not just try and order a cheap one off of ebay. I also don't have a red Qipao.

On the other hand, I could formulate my costume using Shampoo as an inspiration. Go as "Evil Shampoo" or something like that. :)

11:56 pm - HAKA KITTY vs. ONI BUNNY

This was originally going to be the design for the flyer I am doing for the upcoming JPop night at Plague. However, after some consultation, it was determined to be a little too much. (Just the way I like it!) >:D

I think it's fucking hilarious though, so I couldn't just let it rot on my harddrive!

Enjoy!

BTW: Haka Kitty is referenced in THIS Disassemblance comic...

04:25 pm - HG Flyer -- another design project...

This is the flyer I had been working on this week for the Hathor's Garden fetish night down in Providence, RI. I'm pretty pleased with the result, as it turned out almost exactly as I envisioned it (which is a very rare thing for me...)

I REALLY need to get down there and check out that night! As I was discussing with a new face at Plague last night, I miss the fetishy/BDSM aspect.

03:48 pm - PLAGUE REPORT (05/4)

I look like a drag queen... :\

First off, this is not the best picture of me. I spun last night, so to be there early enough I had to rush home, get ready as fast as I could and then head back out to the city. I sort of just threw my make up on, and if I had time to think about it I would have toned down the "Drag Queen Factor." I also, for the first time attempted to outline my entire eye... I have mixed feelings about the result. I also majorly fucked up on my lip liner, making a curved mark on the left side of my face. Luckily I'm a master at making fuck-ups look intentional. I stepped back from the mirror and thought the mark looked like a fang... so I was like... "Fuck it!" and I just made a matching mark on the right. XD

And, yes, I am wearing the meat skewers in my hair again. This time, however, I only used two of them, and they were actually holding my hair up.

Plague last night was SOOOO much fun!! I do so enjoy the spinworks of [info]punketta (who totally recognized The Knife remix I played) and DJ Gabriell. The place was pretty hopping and, despite everyone talking about what a fucked up week it has been, everyone seemed to be in good spirits.

My set went alright. I mostly took the opportunity to play some new music I've happened upon since last time I spun. I've fallen in deep, deep love with Lords of Acid especially the song I Like It. I also threw in a remix of The Knife's We Share Our Mother's Health as I promised I would. Not sure if anyone took notice, but there was an ongoing theme of sex, BDSM and gender-fucking through out my set. >:D

OH! And check it out! [info]milkgonebad had the stickers made up that I designed!
I got huge props from people about the stickers -- some of the people tossing about compliments didn't even realize I was the one who made the logo. :)

I'm totally putting this on my car!! >:D

Fun had by all.
Good, good night. :)

10:09 pm - The REAL Transformer...

I had been promising to design a groovy logo for [info]madhatterofoz's comic strip character Super Mega Ten Cent Robot, but I was an jerk and kept putting it off. But, I finally moved a bunch of shit in my schedule to sit down and get it done this evening. Above is the results.

I did it as a sort of ode to one of my childhood favorites, The Transformers.

I once saw a shirt for sale online that said: "Transexuals: More than meets the eye!"
I would totally wear that shirt!!! :D

Does anyone have a link to that shirt?
It was awesome! :D

((Hatter: Hope you don't mind that I posted the logo...))

10:34 pm - More design work, flyer, FUN!!

Recently, [info]milkgonebad got me in touch with an individual who was looking to have a flyer designed for a swinging night over at PLUSH. I managed to find time to get something together, and I am really proud with how it turned out! With the stress of this week getting to me, I nearly turned down the opportunity. But then I realized I could probably function on one less hour of sleep.

I'm glad I did...

From what I gather, this is a nice chill space and the night should be hella fun -- I hope I have an opportunity to chekc it out for myself in the near future! Something to consider if your in the Portland area. As a matter of fact, I think the weekly event started TONIGHT! O.O

Anyways... this will look great in my ever growing portfolio of work.
The little people look EXACTLY as I pictured them in my head.
Such things rarely ever happen.

12:54 am - The ZomLob PWNS you!!

For sometime [info]milkgonebad has mentioned a logo for Gothic Maine involving a creepy lobster with red eyes. Seriously, what better represents goth in Maine then a lobster of the undead persuasion?

This is something I threw together as a possible logo for t-shirts/bumper** stickers. It's not a final design, of course, I need to fix the spaces between the white sections and likely fix the text.

**FIX:Hehehe... I originally typed "bummer" stickers.
